About the Utah Design Awards
Utah Style & Design Magazine is pleased to present our inaugural 2027 Utah Design Awards — a new annual program dedicated to celebrating exceptional work in the fields of interiors, architecture, craftsmanship, landscape, and more. Over the years, our readers have trusted the magazine to highlight the best in Mountain West design, from cutting-edge architecture to interiors that inspire our creativity. With these awards, we are excited to further celebrate our astounding local design community. Submit your best projects and be a part of this landmark celebration!
Why Participate?
Local Recognition
In each category there are three winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd), showcased in the commemorative Summer Awards issue of Utah Style & Design Magazine. All entries are eligible for the summer issue’s cover. The awards span over 50 residential and commercial categories.
National Recognition
Winners are chosen by an independent panel of industry experts from outside Utah — drawn from media, respected academic institutions, and private practice.
Rising Star
Our first-ever Rising Star award celebrates an inspiring professional with fewer than 10 consecutive years’ experience and at least one significant completed project. Nominations are free and submitted by someone other than the nominee.
Annual Gala Celebration
Winners are notified in February and invited to our June Awards Gala, open to the public, where category winners are celebrated and the magazine cover is revealed.

Entry Details & FAQ
Who can enter?
Design professionals across interiors, architecture, construction, landscaping, craftsmanship, and more. Projects must have been completed within the last five years.
How do I submit?
Register at utahdesignawards.com, sign in, start a new entry, add your project details and images, and submit. Enter as many projects as you like until October 15, 2026.
What are the image requirements?
1–8 high-resolution images per entry, ~8×10 in at 300 DPI minimum, JPG, under 50MB each. Name files by category (not by designer/homeowner) to keep judging anonymous.
Do I need a project description?
Yes, a 100–250 word overview of design challenges, location, and solutions. Don’t name your firm or individuals; include the year completed.
How are winners chosen?
An independent panel of experts from outside Utah reviews all entries; decisions are final.
What is the Rising Star award?
Recognition for a rising professional (under 10 yrs’ experience, one significant completed project). Free to nominate; must be nominated by someone else.
