Vibrant colors, light-filled rooms and lively details — it’s no wonder we can’t get enough of this new Highland home. Fortunately, we have even more of its inspiring rooms to share. Here are some of our favorite web-only shots from our story, Best Dressed. Photos by Rebekah Westover.
In the end of the music room, a number of cabinets were framed into the wall to appear like built-ins. Their doors feature a classic “X” design that is repeated throughout the home.
Thibaut’s La Farge Metallic Gold wallpaper adds a touch of bling to homeowner Jenn Burke’s office.
Joseph Ward, principal of Homeward Design, dressed a lower-level wall with decidedly outdoor fixtures and finishes to link the interior doorway to the patio and pool outside.
Stephanie Holdaway, principal of Gatehouse No. 1 Furniture & Design, chose an eye-catching light fixture to help accentuated the peaked ceiling of a charming upstairs bedroom.
Painted a rich shade of green, sliding doors open to a children’s play space in the lower level.
Black and emerald team to add a punch of drama to the lower level’s chic décor. We love the marbled prints framed in gold!
Holdaway dressed books in white jackets for the display shelves above the living room’s built-in upholstered benches.
A custom antelope-patterned rug adds a punch of pattern and elegance to the master bedroom.
Large, tufted-leather ottomans serve as put-your-feet-up cocktail tables in the light-filled living room. A custom sectional offers plenty of seating for family and friends.
A colorful painting in the foyer presents the palette of colors that repeat throughout the décor.
Richly paneled walls add depth and architectural detail to the interior spaces, including the landing at the top of the stairs.
