Fresh off the recent 2025 St. George Area Parade of Homes, this year’s showcase was nothing short of a design spectacle, featuring some of the most breathtaking homes in the state. Builders and designers pulled out all the stops. Of course, there were the showy pools, must-have pickleball courts, luxe cold plunges and decked-out garages that screamed “wow.” But beyond these popular head turners, a few design trends emerged that you’ll definitely want to swipe for your own home. Which ones are you stealing? Photos: Courtesy of SUHBA and Brad Mee

Color drenching—where walls, ceilings and trim are decked out in a single, saturated hue—made some serious waves in featured rooms. This immersive technique created a bold, cocoon-like atmosphere, transforming spaces into sleek, monochromatic masterpieces. From moody blues to deep charcoal, it proved that a unified color palette isn’t just chic—it’s downright daring.

Textured wall treatments stole the spotlight, from hand-applied plaster to raked stone and board-formed concrete, turning ordinary walls into statement pieces. These surfaces added warmth, texture and a craftsman’s touch, giving each room a luxe, tactile feel. Whether it was the soft undulations of plaster or the sculptural beauty of carved wood and carved stone, these wall treatments delivered serious character and flair.

Wood-clad ceilings made their mark, bringing warmth and rustic elegance both indoors and out. Some seamlessly flowed from the inside to the outdoor patio, creating a unified overhead treatment that connected the spaces. Whether soaring over a grand great room or extending over an alfresco lounge, these ceilings blurred the lines between inside and out, enhancing the home’s flow and inviting a sense of harmony with nature.

Nature-inspired wallcoverings, featuring organic and abstract patterns, added a fresh, calming vibe to several featured rooms. These designs, often inspired by botanical motifs or the flowing shapes of natural elements, included indistinct, blurred patterns that created subtle depth and texture without clear definitions. Whether covering entire walls or even accentuating a ceiling, these wallcoverings helped establish a serene, organic atmosphere, making rooms feel more grounded and inviting.
