An exciting announcement hit the design community this morning: The Sherwin-Williams 2019 Color of the Year! No surprise, they’ve picked Clay.
“A sun-washed and worldly terracotta that blends timeless mid-century modern with the rich and earthy American southwest” is how Sherwin-Williams describes Cavern Clay, its newly anointed 2019 Color of the Year.
“2019 will be a renaissance of the 1970s—with a twist. In the coming year, we will embrace our pioneering spirits and artisan ingenuity. Our 2019 Color of the Year, Cavern Clay, embodies renewal, simplicity and free-spirited, bohemian flair,” says Sue Wadden, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams.
We think the grounded hue is a winner for  Utah interiors, from modern mountain homes to desert dwellings in St. George. How about you? Can you dig it? Let us know on social media: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter polls are up all day!
