The annual Holiday Window Stroll at The Grand America evokes fond memories for many Utahns. This year, the display creators focus on the classic Christmas tale of the Nutcracker. A series of 14 unique displays embark on a magical adventure involving sugar plum fairies, living nutcrackers, and a dastardly mouse king. The animated windows feature flashy seasonal colors and mid-century modern graphic design, appealing to both children and adults alike.
The biggest venture by the hotel, the life-sized gingerbread house, returns this year in all its glory. Designed by the Grand’s resident carpenters and pastry team, the gingerbread house includes 1,100 gumballs, 300 pounds of rice Krispy treats, and 800 pounds of royal icing.
The Grand Holiday Window Unveiling and Window Stroll are complimentary and open to the public. Special guest packages offered by the hotel are available through the holiday season for those wishing to enjoy the luxury and exceptional shopping found at the Grand America Hotel. The stroll will be open through January 1st, with special hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
