As the heart of the home, the kitchen is well-deserving of a little flair. At the 2022 Park City Showcase of homes, style-savvy designers prove that you don’t have to hold back when it comes to designing a bold and beautiful kitchen. Between luxurious double waterfall islands and design-forward open shelves, things are certainly heating up in alpine homes.

SHARP CONTRAST

In a Promontory home, the team at Ezra Lee Design + Build infuse a kitchen with statement pieces at every turn. Sharp geometric shelves fit neatly to a wall corner. Midnight beams and cabinetry offer a stark contrast to white walls. Our personal favorite? A rough concrete backsplash to deliver a stripped-back yet sophisticated feel.

ALL ABOUT THE VIEWS

With a clear view of the Jordanelle reservoir, this home in Heber City’s Skyrdige community is all about setting the scene. Deep walnut cabinetry and sleek light fixtures allow the adjoining dining room to shine. Complete with a communal round table and three surrounding window walls, it’s like dining in the sky.

OPEN AND AIRY

Light-filled kitchens with soaring ceilings and warm furnishings are the very picture of mountain elegance. In this Promontory home, a pair of waterfall islands anchor the room. Above, clerestory windows and sweeping ceilings allow natural light to flood the room. The airy feeling continues throughout the adjoining living room and nearby dining space, all connected through window-lined hallways.

FARMHOUSE FLAIR

It’s only natural that a hilltop home in Kamas would lean into its farmhouse roots. Designers at Elements Custom Homes dressed the space in cool greys and warm wood tones. Overhead, a white planked ceiling delivers a classic ranch feel. Eclectic gold light fixtures hang above the marble island, where six stools beckon a large gathering.
