If you marvel at the way LMK Interior Design masterfully mixed rustic and contemporary design elements in our feature Ranch House, you’re not alone. Like you, we can’t get enough of the surprising ways this scenic Wolf Creek Ranch residence melds seemingly disparate design elements in a seamless, high-style manner. Fortunately, there are lots of intriguing images that didn’t make it into the original layout, and we’re happy to share. Enjoy the views!

Designed by Otto Walker Architects and built by Promark Development and Artistic Builders, the Wolf Creek Ranch home sits on 167 acres of pristine wooded hillsides and open meadows.

A high-contrast color palette defines the interior, including the living room where a large, high-back leather sofa is actually composed of two sectional pieces. The dark sofa dramatically contrasts with a light-toned wool rug and clean-lined lounge chairs.

A massive, chiseled-stone mantel and hearth provide the scale and weight needed to properly anchor the living room’s expansive space.

Curved barstools visually soften the kitchen islands’ hard angles. A wall of integrated appliances provide an expanse of richly stained wood that warms the room. Countertop stone from Italia Granite.

Located at the end of the kitchen, a built-in banquette provides a casual space to dine that’s away from the hustle and bustle of the cooking space.

Light flows freely through the open treads and medal-grid panels of the home’s striking staircase.

A unique trough sink adds contemporary form to a bathroom where wood and stone create a decidedly rustic look and feel.

A round, leather-framed mirror hangs on a wall clad in reclaimed barn wood. A woven chair and metal lamp add to the mix of compelling forms and textures.

Clean-lined metal “steps” stand in for a conventional ladder and  provided access to the second-level beds in the upstairs bunk room.

Woven leather chairs, reclaimed wood walls and the metal dome of an oversized pendant light create a compelling composition in the lower level.

The simple lines and open form and of this handsome canopy bed fills the volume of a large guest room without obstructing mountain views.
