Spotted: Mouthwatering Levantine cuisine is not the only thing served at Mazza Cafe in Salt Lake’s 9th and 9th neighborhood. The restaurant’s decor is equally tasty, and copper finishes play a big part.
Owner Ali Sabbeh chose the warm metallic tone to adorn wall niches and shimmering lanterns as well to transform ho-hum steel columns and exposed ductwork into art forms. For him, it’s a no-brainer. “Copper is traditional in Middle East interiors,” he says. For us, it’s brilliant.
